I spent all of last week getting over one of those dreaded post-holiday colds. I also subsequently spent a lot of time in bed watching old films on Netflix. Came across this lovely version of Anastasia from the 1950′s and fell in love with the classic number that Ingred Bergman wore at the end of the movie.
Can’t help thinking that the gown would make a gorgeous wedding dress (minus the Russian crown and red sash, of course). There is something about long sweeping sleeves that is so endearingly elegant…
 

My boyfriend does this silly hug thing where he will pick me up, squeeze me, and shake me back and forth for the biggest bear hug in the world.

I have been starting to think about my New Year’s ensemble– found an amazing pair of shoes at a thrift store around the corner. Metallic, super minimalist, and a little 90′s, they evoke my latest tastes in footwear and definitely reflect a bit of festivity.
Came across this dress from Topshop that would pair perfectly with the 90′s beauties. I adore the thin spaghetti straps and flirty cut, but the price is a little too much for a simple evening of festivies. Le sigh. We shall see what I can dig up …

Theyskins Theory Pre-Fall 2012 collection almost had me in tears. Not even kidding.
